The Attendant is a quirky coffee bar I’ve wanted to visit for a while.
It’s located in a former gentleman’s Victorian toilet built around 1890 and closed in the 1960’s which has been dormant for more than 50 years before being transformed into a coffee bar.
The original porcelain urinals have been kept but deeply sanitized!
I decided to finally go with Mickael, the little brother of my best friend Nathalie who is like my own little brother. And what a better place than a former toilet for his first breakfast in London? It was the perfect anti-date!
We arrived around 10:00 and were the only customers.
Wz had a choice of coffees from Caravan, teas or freshly squeeze orange juice for the drinks and avocado sourdough toasts, mango parfaits, muffins and other kinds of cakes and pastries for the food.
We both opted for an avocado sourdough toast, a mango parfait and a freshly squeeze orange juice. Told you we’re like brother and sister ;)!
We took place in an urinal each, as they delimit individual space.
We had a very pleasant breakfast. The food was excellent and the place amazing.
If you have friends or family coming to London and want to bring them to a quirky place, this is definitely a place to remember!
PS: There is no toilet in The Attendant!
