Camden for foodies

I love Camden. Not too much for the market but more for the food.

There are several places where you can eat in Camden but there is one that should absolutely not be missed. If you come to Camden following the canal from Regent’s Park, you will directly find the place. But if you come by bus or tube and walk on Camden High St, you will easily pass it without noticing. And it would be a shame!
The first time we went to Camden, we ate an Asian mix seated on a scooter seat in front of the canal. Certainly one of the most popular spot in Camden. It was a fun but definitely not a gourmet experience!
But since we discovered “The Global Kitchen”, we only eat there.  And we love it so much that most of the time, we come to Camden only to have a good, not expensive and “exotic” lunch.
“The Global Kitchen” is a court full of stalls offering cuisine from around the world: Italy, Poland, France, Russia, Great Britain, Australia, Japan, Iran, China, India, Vietnam, Argentina, United States, Jamaica, Brazil, Turkey, Pakistan, Ethiopia…
I like to wander from stall to stall and taste what they offer before making my choice.
My boyfriend is a huge fan of the Polish Hot Dog.

As for me, I prefer to try something different each time.

Last time we went to Camden, we were very lucky with the weather: it was sunny and hot with a light wind. It actually was a hottest day so far this year.  It explains why it was more crowded than usual, and yes it’s possible! I started with a Thai cold tea followed by a delicious mango juice because I was very thirsty.
Then, after my usual round, I finally opted for the Italian flat bread that I wanted to try since a long time. This stall is so popular that it took me 10 minutes to be served. But it didn’t seem that long as the team was fun and they constantly offered some bites.
My boyfriend, for once, didn’t take the Polish Hot Dog but tried the duck roll.P1070946 For dessert, we tried some cupcakes with summer flavours: coconut and watermelon.P1070952 It was the first time that we saw this stall and I can tell you that the cupcakes didn’t last long! We accompanied them with a nice mojito to finish.

I can wait to go back to Camden, there are so many stalls that I still have to try! And as some stalls come and go, it will be an endless quest!
